The stylists at Lace share practical advice to help brides feel more relaxed before the first fitting.
Be open about your budget.
Share the amount you are comfortable spending. Remember to plan separately for alterations, shoes, and accessories. At the outlet, gowns start at $995.
Focus on fit.
Bridal sizing can differ from everyday clothing and from one designer to another. Let your stylist help you evaluate the actual gown instead of focusing on the number inside it.
Bring your support system.
Choose guests who listen to you and celebrate your preferences. For an outlet appointment, we recommend 2–4 guests and can accommodate up to 6.
Make the most of your outlet appointment.
Our appointments are 60 minutes, and the gown you try is the gown you can purchase. Tell your stylist your wedding date and ask about available sizes before you arrive. An off-the-rack gown can leave with you the same day, but your plans should still allow time and a separate budget for alterations.
Stay curious.
Bring a few inspiration photos, then leave room for a silhouette you may not have considered. The dress you love could be a surprise.
